Tesco CEO Sir Terry Leahy to Give Major Corporate Social Policy Speech Tonight in London

Sir Terry Leahy, CEO of Tesco plc., parent company of Fresh & Easy Neighborhood Market, will give a major speech tonight in London arguing that Tesco is a force for social good. The speech titled "A force for good in society: supermarkets and sustainable consumption," will be given by Leahy as the distinguished Sir Roland Smith lecture. The Tesco chief was chosen to give the annual lecture in London earlier this year.

The Guardian newspaper got a preview of tonight's speech by Sir Terry. The publication Natural~Specialty Foods Memo has a good summary of the speech--and a link to the full Guardian piece as well. You can read both here
